Ram Shows Commercial Customers-'We've Got Your Number'

Deep in the heart of Texas … the Ram Truck brand is rolling out its biggest, boldest and most capable workhorses yet.

With automotive journalists and hard-core, social enthusiasts taking notes, Ram Truck brand President & CEO Fred Diaz is unveiling the 2013 Ram Heavy Duty 2500 and 3500 pickups, and the Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas on Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. ET.

The 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty models have a powerful story to tell. For the first time, the Ram Heavy Duty 3500 will offer customers a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 as well as the Cummins 6.7–liter High-Output diesel as standard.

The 2013 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickups and Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs have both corralled best-in-class capability features customers say they want most:

  • Best-in-class towing and payload capability
  • Best-in-class Gross Combined Weight Rating
  • Best-in-class torque
  • Best-in-class rear frame strength …rated at 50,000 psi
  • Best-in-class upfitter installation
  • Best-in –class turning radius

Oh, and add to that impressive list the 2013 Ram Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab trucks offer manual transmission in the segment.

Both the Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab models also come with electronic stability control, standard on all Ram truck models and a segment-exclusive on 3500 Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab models.
Fresh new colors and material upgrades throughout the interior stress new and individualized themes, and technology takes center stage with the next generation 8.4-inch Uconnect system giving customers multiple ways to connect portable devices, content, services and applications … all while remaining focused on the road.
