SEMA 2012 Recap

Sema-2012-recap4

The greatest modified vehicles from around the world were showcased at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas last week, and we gave you the all-access pass right here on REDLINE Dodge. In case you didn’t get a chance to tune in to our live stream, you can check out some videos from our coverage at livestream.com/dodge.

Here are some of the highlights you may have missed:

The Mopar Press Conference made headlines when Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, and comedian Jeff Dunham took the stage for some major announcements regarding newly released performance engines and performance calibrations that will be available for select 2011, 2012 and 2013 Chrysler Group vehicles. The duo also unveiled a special custom Dodge Challenger called “Project Ultraviolet.” Read the official press release here.

As the cover was removed from the customized 2013 UFC “Fight for Your Dart” Dodge Dart, both the contest winner Stephen Seipel and UFC fighter Demetrius “Mighty Mouse” Johnson were in awe of Kelderman’s one-of-a-kind design. The lime green matte paint covering the exterior of the Dart also appears on the interior trim and rims. The Dart was on display during the entire week of SEMA.

After winning the Daytona 500 back in 1964, the Plymouth Belvedere was restored and revealed to the public for the very first time. The historic racer designed and built by Ray Evernham flaunted its old-school American style with modern NASCAR technology that made it a champion.
