Dodge is Getting Spooky with the Black Ghost Challenger

There are many exciting things to come in 2023 for Dodge. One of the biggest reveals will be the infamous Black Ghost Dodge Challenger. Here’s what the team of automotive sales professionals at Melloy Dodge think you’ll want to know about this coveted sports car release.

Dodge has planned for the future model years of the Dodge Challenger to go electric. The 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost is the “last call” special edition model before that transition. The new Black Ghost pays homage to a legendarily mysterious black 1970 Challenger said to have prowled Detroit's Woodward Avenue 50 years ago. Only 300 Black Ghost Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody muscle cars will be produced, which means the chances of seeing a modern Black Ghost Challenger is almost as slim as seeing the original in the 1970s. The new Black Ghost is a modern take on the original, even down to the black gator skin graphics on the roof. This impressive muscle car will also include Challenger script badges and the white bumblebee rear fender graphics. The Black Ghost is number six of seven special edition “last call” Dodge models.

While this sleek vehicle may be lurking in the shadows, the team at Melloy Dodge in Albuquerque may be able to help you get your hands on one! Contact us for information about pre-ordering as demand will be very high for this special edition. For any questions, or if you’re in the market for a new Dodge, one of the other Hellcat models or something for everyday driving, reach out to us or visit our Albuquerque showroom at 9621 Coors Blvd. NW, just north of Paseo del Norte.

How to Get your Car Ready for Colder Weather

Cold weather will hit New Mexico before we know it! Preparing your vehicle for the changing of seasons is extremely important. Here are a few tips the experts at Melloy Dodge suggest you follow to avoid any Fall or Winter vehicle mishaps.

  • Check your tires: Worn or flat tires paired with winter weather can create a dangerous situation. Check your tire pressure and the tread on your tires to ensure they are safe and ready for cold weather. If you plan to drive in icy or snowy areas, it may be a good idea to look in to a 4-wheel drive Dodge vehicle!
  • Test your battery: Don’t wait for your car battery to fail and leave you stranded in the cold. Use a computerized battery tester to check your battery’s voltage and overall condition.
  • Change your wiper blades: Visibility is extremely important in inclement weather. Remove old wiper blades and replace them with a new set.
  • Pack an emergency kit: It’s never a bad idea to be prepared. Pack an emergency kit that fits in the back of your vehicle. The Melloy Dodge team suggests packing the following:
        1. Flashlight

        2. Phone charger

        3. Simple tools

        4. Jumper cables

        5. First aid kit

        6. Blanket

        7. Hat and gloves.

Preparation is key when ensuring your travels are safe this Fall and Winter season. To get your Dodge serviced before the cold weather hits, reach out to the Service Team at Melloy Dodge in Albuquerque, or schedule with us online!
